Anyone familiar with Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia should recognize the DelMarVa Peninsular. It is the land that lies between the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware River, Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Just a mere 170 miles in length, the DelMarVa Peninsula has threatened to form its own state many times. The most recent attempt was in 1998.
